Your Pre-Treatment Checklist
To ensure the best results and minimise bruising, Please follow these simple steps before your appointment:
7 Days Before
• Avoid Blood Thinners: If possible (and if not prescribed by a doctor), avoid taking Aspirin or Ibuprofen. These can increase your risk of bruising.
• Supplements: Avoid Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, and Ginseng for one week prior.
24–48 Hours Before
• Alcohol: Please avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your treatment, as it thins the blood and can significantly increase swelling and bruising.
• Arnica: Some clients find that taking Arnica tablets 2 days before treatment helps reduce the risk of bruising.
On the Day of Treatment
• Come "Fresh Faced": If possible, please arrive with no makeup on the area being treated. Don't worry if you're coming from work—we have clinical-grade cleanser here to prep your skin!
• Eat & Hydrate: Make sure you’ve had a light meal and are well-hydrated. This helps prevent you from feeling lightheaded during the procedure.
• Avoid Caffeine: Try to limit caffeine on the day of your appointment to help you stay relaxed.
A Quick Note on Cold Sores
• If you are prone to cold sores and are booking a Lip Filler appointment, please start an antiviral medication (like Zovirax) 2-3 days before your treatment. Injections can sometimes trigger an outbreak.

• Hands Off: Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated area. This prevents infection and ensures the product stays exactly where it was placed.
• Stay Upright: Try to remain upright for at least 4 hours after anti-wrinkle injections.
• Heat & Exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for 24–48 hours. Heat can increase swelling and blood flow to the area.
• Alcohol: Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to minimise bruising.
Specific Advice for Fillers
• Swelling & Bruising: This is completely normal! Swelling usually peaks the morning after treatment. Use a clean, cold compress (not ice directly on the skin) for 10 minutes at a time to help.
• Lumps: The filler may feel slightly firm or "lumpy" for the first 2 weeks. This is usually just swelling or the product settling. Please do not massage them; they will soften naturally.
• Makeup: Please wait at least 12 hours before applying makeup to the injection sites to prevent infection.
When to See Results
• Anti-Wrinkle: Results start to appear in 3–5 days, with the full effect at 14 days.
• Fillers: You see the results immediately, but the "final" look won't be visible for 2 weeks once all swelling has subsided.
🚩 When to Contact Me Immediately
Safety is my priority. Please call or message me right away if you experience:
• Extreme Pain: Pain that is getting worse rather than better.
• Skin Discolouration: If the skin looks pale/white, mottled (lace-like), or dark purple/blue in a way that doesn't look like a normal bruise.
• Heat/Redness: If the area feels hot to the touch or looks increasingly red several days later.

The Botox Journey: Your 14-Day Timeline
Please remember: Botox is a "slow-release" treatment. Patience is key to seeing your final refreshed look!
Days 1–2: The "Settling" Phase
• What you see: Your skin will likely look exactly as it did before. You may have tiny, mosquito-bite-like bumps immediately after the injection, but these usually vanish within an hour.
• What’s happening: The Botox is beginning to bind to the nerve endings in your muscles. It is working hard under the surface, even if you can't see it yet.
• Tip: Avoid rubbing the area or wearing tight hats/headbands.
Days 3–5: The "First Signs"
• What you see: You might start to feel a slight "tightness" or a heavy sensation in the treated area (especially the forehead).
• The Change: When you try to frown or lift your brows, you’ll notice they don't move quite as much as they did yesterday. Fine lines around the eyes (Crow's Feet) often start to soften first.
• Tip: Don’t worry if one side starts working slightly faster than the other—this is completely normal!
Days 6–10: The "Smoothing" Phase
• What you see: This is the "Wow" window. Your skin will start to look polished and glowing.
• The Change: Deep "11" lines between the brows and horizontal forehead lines will appear much shallower. Your makeup will likely sit smoother on your skin without creasing into lines.
• Tip: You may feel like your facial expressions are a little "different" as you adjust to the muscle relaxation.
Days 11–14: The "Full Effect"
• What you see: This is your peak result. The muscles are now fully relaxed, and the skin above them has had time to smooth out.
• The Change: Your face looks refreshed, rested, and youthful. Any initial unevenness usually balances out by Day 14.
• Tip: This is the point where we check if you need a small "top-up." If you feel you still have too much movement in a specific spot, now is the time to contact the clinic.
Quick Aftercare Summary for your Clients:
• First 4 Hours: Stay upright (no lying down or bending over) and don't touch your face.
• First 24 Hours: No "sweaty" exercise, no saunas/hot tubs, and no alcohol.
• First 2 Weeks: No facials, facial massages, or chemical peels.

Your Dermal Filler Journey: The 14-Day Timeline
Dermal fillers provide instant volume, but your true, settled result takes time. Here is what to expect as your body heals.
Day 1: The "Immediate" Result
• What to expect: You will see an immediate change in volume and shape. However, the area may feel tender, look slightly red, and you might see tiny "mosquito bite" bumps at the injection sites.
• Pro-Tip: Avoid alcohol and salt today, as both can worsen the swelling you’ll see tomorrow!
Days 2–3: The "Peak Swelling" Phase
• What to expect: This is usually the most dramatic stage. The treated area (especially the lips) may look much larger than you intended, and you might notice some asymmetry where one side is more swollen than the other.
• The Feel: The filler may feel firm, tight, or slightly "lumpy" under the skin.
• Pro-Tip: Don't panic! This is just your body’s inflammatory response. Use a cool compress and stay hydrated.
Days 4–7: The "Settling" Phase
• What to expect: Swelling begins to drop significantly (usually by about 50-70%). Any bruising may change color (turning yellow or green) as it begins to fade.
• The Feel: The area will start to feel softer and more integrated with your natural tissue.
• Pro-Tip: You can now start to see the real shape emerging. If you have any minor bruising left, it can usually be covered with mineral makeup now.
Days 8–13: The "Integration" Phase
• What to expect: Most visible side effects like redness and bruising should be gone. The filler is now binding with the water in your skin to "plump" from within.
• The Feel: Any small lumps or "firm spots" usually smooth out during this week as the product fully integrates.
• Pro-Tip: This is the time to start taking your "After" photos!
Day 14: The "Final Reveal"
• What to expect: Your results are now settled. The swelling is 100% gone, and the tissue is soft and natural-looking.
• The Next Step: This is the point where we conduct your follow-up review. We never make "tweaks" or add more filler before Day 14, as we need to see the true, settled result first.
🚩 When to call the clinic immediately:
While swelling and bruising are normal, please contact [Your Name/Phone] right away if you experience:
1. Intense or increasing pain that isn't relieved by paracetamol.
2. Skin discolouration (looking pale/white, grey, or mottled/blotchy).
3. Skin that feels very hot to the touch or shows spreading redness..

Polynucleotides: The Future of Skin Regeneration

What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are biological molecules (chains of nucleotides) derived from purified DNA fractions. When injected into the skin, they act as "biostimulators." They signal your cells to repair damage, increase collagen production, and improve the overall health of the skin tissue.

How Do They Work?

Polynucleotides work through three primary mechanisms:

  1. Cellular Repair: They stimulate fibroblasts (the cells responsible for skin structure) to produce more Type I collagen and elastin.
  2. Deep Hydration: They have a strong water-binding capacity, providing long-lasting, internal moisture.
  3. Anti-Inflammatory: They help reduce redness and calm the skin, making them excellent for sensitive areas or rosacea-prone skin.

Key Benefits

  • Under-Eye Rejuvenation: One of the most popular uses; they effectively treat dark circles, hollows, and "crepey" skin without the risk of swelling associated with tear-trough fillers.
  • Elasticity & Firmness: Visibly tightens sagging skin on the face, neck, and décolletage.
  • Scar & Texture Repair: Highly effective for smoothing out acne scars and large pores.
  • Natural Results: Because they don't "fill" the face with gel, your natural features remain unchanged—you simply look refreshed and youthful.

What to Expect During Treatment

  • The Procedure: Small amounts of the product are injected into the target area using a very fine needle or a cannula.
  • Comfort: A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to ensure the treatment is virtually painless.
  • The "Lump" Phase: You may notice small bumps at the injection sites immediately after. These are temporary and usually absorb into the skin within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Timeline: For best results, a course of 3 treatments, spaced 3 weeks apart, is typically recommended.

FAQs

How is this different from Profhilo? While Profhilo is a high-concentration Hyaluronic Acid designed for intense hydration and a "glow," Polynucleotides are focused on repair. They are better suited for specific concerns like dark circles, scarring, or significant loss of elasticity.

When will I see results? Regeneration takes time. While you may notice an improvement in hydration quickly, the full structural benefits usually appear 4–6 weeks after your second treatment.

Is there any downtime? Minimal. You may experience slight swelling or bruising, but most clients return to their normal activities the following day.

Aftercare Advice

  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Do not apply makeup to the area for 12 hours.
  • Keep the area clean and avoid touching the injection sites.
  • Use a broad-spectrum SPF daily to protect your new collagen.

Medical Disclaimer: Polynucleotide treatments are medical procedures. They are not suitable for individuals with a known fish allergy (as the DNA is often salmon-derived) or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. A full medical consultation is required.

Profhilo: The Ultimate Injectable Glow

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is an award-winning "bioremodeling" treatment. It contains one of the highest concentrations of pure Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on the market. Unlike dermal fillers, which stay in one place to create volume, Profhilo is designed to flow like honey through the skin layers to stimulate receptors and improve hydration and firmness across the entire face or neck.

How Does It Work?

Profhilo works in two phases:

  1. Hydrate: It immediately floods the skin with moisture, smoothing out fine lines and "crepey" texture.
  2. Remodel: Over the following weeks, it triggers the production of four different types of collagen and elastin. This process tightens the skin and gives it a subtle, natural "lift."

Key Benefits

  • Intense Hydration: Ideal for skin that looks tired, dull, or dehydrated.
  • Improved Firmness: It restores the "bounce" and elasticity to aging skin.
  • The "BAP" Technique: We use the Bio Aesthetic Points technique—just 5 injection points on each side of the face. This minimizes discomfort and reduces the risk of bruising.
  • Natural Glow: It doesn't change your face shape; it simply makes your skin look like its "younger self."

The Treatment Journey

  • The Session: The treatment takes about 10–15 minutes. You may feel a brief stinging sensation as the product is injected.
  • The "Bee Sting" Phase: Immediately after, you will have small raised bumps at the injection sites (similar to a bee sting). These are completely normal and typically disappear within 12 to 24 hours as the product spreads under the skin.
  • The Protocol: For the best results, two sessions are required 4 weeks apart.
  • Maintenance: To keep your glow, we recommend a single "top-up" every 6 months.

Aftercare Advice

  • Avoid touching the injection sites for 6 hours.
  • Stay away from saunas, steam rooms, or intense exercise for 24 hours.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to minimize potential bruising.
  • Do not have any other facial treatments (like peels or microneedling) for 2 weeks after your session.

Who is it for?

Profhilo is perfect for anyone over the age of 30 who has noticed their skin becoming a little "lax" or lacking its usual radiance. It is particularly effective for the face, neck, décolletage, and even the tops of the hands.

Medical Disclaimer: Profhilo is a medical-grade treatment. It is not suitable for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have active skin infections in the treatment area. A consultation is required to ensure it is the right choice for your skin goals.

Dermaplaning: The Secret to Flawless, Radiant Skin

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a safe and highly effective physical exfoliation procedure. It involves using a sterile, medical-grade surgical scalpel to gently shave the surface of the skin, removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells along with fine vellus hair, commonly known as "peach fuzz."

How Does It Work?

By clearing away the buildup of dead skin and hair, dermaplaning reveals the fresh, healthy skin underneath. This process creates a perfectly smooth "canvas," allowing your skincare products to penetrate deeper and your makeup to sit flawlessly without clumping or looking "cakey."

Key Benefits

  • Instant Brightening: Removes the dull, gray appearance caused by dead skin buildup.
  • Flawless Makeup Application: Provides a smooth surface so foundation glides on effortlessly.
  • Increased Product Absorption: Your serums and moisturizers can work up to 80% more effectively.
  • Gentle & Painless: Many clients find the rhythmic "brushing" sensation very relaxing.
  • No Downtime: You can return to your normal routine immediately with a fresh glow.

The Treatment Experience

  • The Process: After a deep cleanse, the skin is pulled taut, and the blade is moved in short, precise strokes at a 45-degree angle.
  • Duration: A typical session takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Frequency: For best results, we recommend a treatment every 4 to 6 weeks to coincide with your skin’s natural regeneration cycle.

Debunking the Biggest Myth

"Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?"

The Answer is No. Dermaplaning does not affect the hair follicle or the growth cycle. Vellus hair (peach fuzz) is physiologically different from the thick terminal hair on your head or underarms. When the hair grows back, it will have the exact same color and texture as before.

Aftercare Advice

Your skin will be fresh and more sensitive to the environment immediately after treatment.

  • Sun Protection: This is the most important step. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily.
  • Hydrate: Use a gentle, hydrating serum (like Hyaluronic Acid) to lock in moisture.
  • Avoid Actives: Skip "harsh" ingredients like Retinol, Vitamin C, or exfoliating acids for 3 to 5 days.
  • Hands Off: Avoid touching your face or picking at the skin to prevent irritation.

Who is it for?

Dermaplaning is suitable for most skin types, especially those with dry or rough skin. It is a fantastic alternative for pregnant or nursing women who want deep exfoliation but need to avoid chemical peels.

Clinical Note: Dermaplaning is not recommended for those with active cystic acne, sunburn, or extremely sensitive skin conditions like active rosacea flare-ups. A quick skin analysis will be performed prior to your treatment.

Chemical Peels: Reveal Your Brightest Skin

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a resurfacing treatment where a specific acid solution is applied to the skin to remove damaged top layers. This process stimulates the transition of fresh, new skin cells to the surface and kickstarts the production of collagen and elastin.

How Does It

Chemical Peels: Reveal Your Brightest Skin

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a resurfacing treatment where a specific acid solution is applied to the skin to remove damaged top layers. This process stimulates the transition of fresh, new skin cells to the surface and kickstarts the production of collagen and elastin.

+1

How Does It Work?

The "peel" solution lowers the pH of the skin, which breaks the biological "glue" (desmosomes) holding dead skin cells together. Once these cells are shed, the skin underneath appears smoother, clearer, and more evenly toned.

We Offer Three Levels of Renewal:

  1. Superficial Peels: Often called "Lunchtime Peels," these use mild acids like Lactic or Glycolic acid. They provide an instant glow with no visible peeling or downtime.
  2. Medium-Depth Peels: These reach the upper layer of the dermis (using TCA or Salicylic acid). They are excellent for treating sun damage, pigment spots, and fine wrinkles.
    +1
  3. Targeted Peels: Specific formulas designed to kill acne-causing bacteria or "shatter" stubborn melasma and dark spots.

Key Benefits

  • Refined Texture: Dramatically smoothes out rough skin and shrinks the appearance of enlarged pores.
  • Clearer Complexion: Highly effective at drying up active acne and clearing out blackheads.
  • Even Skin Tone: Fades "sun spots," age spots, and post-acne redness (PIE/PIH).
  • Anti-Aging: Softens the look of fine lines and helps "tighten" the skin's appearance.

The Treatment Experience

  • The Sensation: You will feel a tingling or "spicy" warmth on the skin for 3–5 minutes while the peel is active. We use a handheld fan to keep you comfortable.
  • The Neutralizer: Once the desired depth is reached, the peel is neutralized, and the sensation stops immediately.
  • The "Peeling" Phase: Depending on the strength, your skin may feel tight for 2 days, followed by light flaking (similar to a mild sunburn) between days 3 and 5.

Aftercare Advice

Your "new" skin is delicate and must be protected:

  • DO NOT PICK: If your skin flakes, let it fall off naturally. Picking can lead to scarring or hyperpigmentation.
  • SPF is Essential: Use a physical SPF 50 daily. Your skin will be more photosensitive for at least 14 days.
  • Hydrate: Use a bland, fragrance-free moisturizer to support the skin barrier.
  • Keep it Cool: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 48 hours.

Who is it for?

Chemical peels can be customized for almost every skin type and tone. They are the "gold standard" for anyone struggling with congestion, dullness, or the early signs of aging.

Clinical Note: A full skin consultation and "patch test" may be required 24–48 hours before your first treatment. This ensures your skin reacts beautifully to the chosen acid strength.

Microneedling: The Collagen Induction Secret

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a professional-grade device equipped with tiny, sterile needles to create controlled "micro-injuries" on the skin's surface. These invisible channels trigger your body’s natural healing response, leading to a surge in the production of collagen and elastin.

How Does It Work?

  1. Stimulation: The needles penetrate the dermis, signaling the skin to repair itself.
  2. Repair: As the skin heals, it produces new, strong collagen fibers that thicken the skin and smooth out imperfections.
  3. Delivery: The micro-channels allow us to infuse high-grade serums (like Hyaluronic Acid or Polynucleotides) deep into the skin where they are most effective.

Key Benefits

  • Scars & Texture: Dramatically reduces the appearance of acne scarring and uneven skin texture.
  • Fine Lines & Wrinkles: Plumps the skin from within to "fill out" lines naturally.
  • Pore Refinement: Firms the skin around pores, making them appear significantly smaller.
  • Pigmentation: Helps break up clusters of melanin to even out sun damage and skin tone.

The Treatment Journey

  • Preparation: We apply a high-strength numbing cream 20–30 minutes before we begin. You will feel a light vibrating sensation, but the procedure is very tolerable.
  • The "Sunburn" Look: Immediately after, your skin will look flushed or red, similar to a moderate sunburn. This is exactly what we want to see—it means the healing response has started!
  • Recovery: The redness usually subsides within 24–48 hours. You may experience some light dryness or "tightness" as the skin renews itself.
  • The Results: While your skin will look "brighter" within a week, the structural changes (collagen building) take about 4–6 weeks to become fully visible.

Aftercare Advice

  • Hands Off: Do not touch your face for at least 6 hours to prevent bacteria from entering the micro-channels.
  • No Makeup: Avoid makeup for 24–48 hours.
  • Clean Pillowcase: Sleep on a fresh, clean pillowcase the night of your treatment.
  • SPF Protection: Your skin will be highly sensitive to the sun. Apply a physical SPF 50 daily.
  • Gentle Routine: Stick to a simple, hydrating cleanser and moisturizer for 5 days. Avoid Retinols and acids.

Who is it for?

Microneedling is suitable for almost all skin types and tones. It is ideal for anyone looking to treat "pitting" from old acne, fine lines, or skin that has lost its "bounce."

Clinical Note: Microneedling is not suitable for those with active cystic acne, skin infections, or those currently taking certain blood-thinning medications. A full consultation is required to assess your suitability.

The Wellness Boost: Vitamin Injection Guide

Direct Nutrient Delivery for Energy, Immunity & Radiance

While oral supplements are common, much of their potency is lost during digestion. Our professional vitamin injections bypass the gut, ensuring 100% absorption and immediate cellular uptake.

1. Vitamin B12 (The Energy Essential)

Best for: Fatigue, brain fog, and metabolism support.

Vitamin B12 is crucial for neurological function and the production of DNA and red blood cells.

  • The Benefit: Expect a significant lift in energy levels, improved sleep quality, and better mental focus.
  • The Feeling: Most clients report feeling "lighter" and more alert within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Frequency: Usually administered as a single shot every 1–3 months, or a loading course of 4 sessions for those with high deficiency.

2. Vitamin D (The Sunshine Nutrient)

Best for: Immune strength, bone health, and seasonal mood support.

In the UK, many people are deficient in Vitamin D due to lack of sunlight. This "super-vitamin" acts more like a hormone in the body.

  • The Benefit: Regulates calcium for strong bones/teeth and provides a vital shield for your immune system.
  • The Feeling: Helps combat "seasonal affective disorder" (SAD) and general muscle aches.
  • Frequency: Often given as a high-dose "booster" once every 6 months or annually.

3. Vitamin C (The Antioxidant Powerhouse)

Best for: Skin brightening, collagen production, and viral protection.

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals and helps the body repair tissue.

  • The Benefit: Stimulates natural collagen for a glowing complexion and helps the body recover faster from illness or intense exercise.
  • The Feeling: Provides an internal "refresh," leaving you feeling revitalized.
  • Frequency: Can be taken weekly for a "beauty boost" or monthly for maintenance.

What to Expect During Treatment

  • The Procedure: A quick, intramuscular (IM) injection typically into the upper arm or glute.
  • Comfort: The sensation is a brief "pinch"—the entire process takes less than 5 minutes.
  • Downtime: None. You can return to work or the gym immediately.

Aftercare Advice

  • Keep the injection site clean.
  • You may experience slight redness or a dull ache at the site for a few hours; this is normal.
  • Stay hydrated to help the nutrients circulate through your system.

Medical Disclaimer: Vitamin injections are intended to supplement a healthy lifestyle and are not a substitute for medical treatment. Clients with specific medical conditions (such as kidney issues or Leber's disease) or those who are pregnant should consult their GP first. A consultation is mandatory prior to your first session.
